Symbol: twins

In Greek mythology: The story of “twins”, Castor and Pollux, is related to the sign of Gemini and gives name to two of the brightest stars in it’s constellation. They were said to be half brothers, one fathered by a mortal and one by a god. The two shared in everything and had great love for one another. When Castor (the mortal) was killed in battle, his brother was completely heartbroken. Pollux decided that he would not go on without his other half, so Zeus placed them among the stars.
