For your listening pleasure: Capricorn Full Moon Playlist
Hold on to your hats, folx, because this full moon in Capricorn (2:38pm Eastern on June 24) is taking us on a ride through the tunnel of love. We are looking at opportunities for emotional healing coming up from the depths, grieving the deaths of our past selves, applying a salve of tenderness and understanding to our traumas, and sewing up the tears in our hearts that have desperately needed mending. Yup. It’s all here for you. Please refrain from keeping your arms and legs inside the vehicle because you really need to feel this, but do fasten your seatbelts. We’re going in.
Before we embark on this lovely little underworld voyage, I would like to give a shout out to the Saturn-Uranus square that is sponsoring today’s transmission. 2021 is about reinventing our structures and restructuring our inventions. What? This is big ticket stuff. The whole world is going through this process. I know you’ve seen, heard, and experienced it through the social experiment that has been the past year+ of life on Earth. The dissolution of stagnant systems cannot happen overnight. This requires patience and attentiveness. This particular series of interactions between the gods of form and freedom is meant to remind us of our goals and make sure that the injustices we have been privy to are not swept back under the rug where they have lurked for far too long. This moon, this healing intensive that is asking for our participation, is a huge step into ourselves and toward a better world.
Mercury’s recent appearance as the morning star and subsequent turn around usher in newfound insights that relate to the past six weeks of our lives. Venus’ influence since the end of last year has been very strong. She is a big part of the ground we covered and recovered during Mercury retrograde. This is about the sacred feminine, the temple, the places where we worship, beauty, love, pleasure, the physical body, sisters, friends who inhabit traditionally recognized as feminine forms, sexual health, “women’s” health, art, cleanliness, how we feel about our bodies, attraction, value, riches, and so on. We are learning how to align with our self worth and become our own most beloved partners so that (if desired) we can really fully embody ourselves in union with others.
During this full moon, the sun in Cancer will oppose the moon in Capricorn. Moon in Capricorn finds assurance in that which can be seen and touched. Sun in Cancer brings Spirit into the home space and makes it sacred. Alongside the eternal lights we have Venus in Cancer opposing Pluto Rx in Capricorn. There are big messages here regarding safety, comfort, trust, stability, nurturance, and our past experiences. There are a ton of possible (even probable) permutations of a Sun-Moon-Venus-Pluto combo. A lot of what is being served up is really beautiful and supportive, but there may be a few bombs to disarm in order to get to that point. The focus is on all sorts of relationships, but I see so much healing happening in the setting of romantic partnerships through difficult realizations, light being cast upon the broken and tender parts of ourselves, and the support and compassion that we can offer to one another through it all. If you are currently walking through life as a proud unpartnered human, this work is still happening, but perhaps through the lens of self reflection in regard to past or potential engagements. These are the vibes:
- Inspiration to create something that comes from a place of shadowy or dark, brooding emotion
- Appreciation of the haunting beauty of death and dead things
- Connecting with music or other art forms that rouse extreme depth of feeling
- Intense passion and sexual desire, exploring power roles, hedonism (think Pan)
- Spiritual heights reached during physical intimacy, breakthroughs and catharsis
- The desire to reclaim, reorder, and/or deep clean the sacred home spaces
- Feeling rooted into personal power, value, and beauty
- Evaluating how personal, family, or partner-shared resources can be utilized to bring more joy and abundance vs how they may have been misused in the past
- Topics related to “women’s” physical health for better or worse
- Holding space for ourselves and others that may be going through difficult experiences such as deaths, breakups, pregnancies, depression, chronic illness, etc.
- Challenging power dynamics in family and/or partnership dredged up from past
- Rise of less socially accepted emotions, passive aggression, neediness
Whether it is the beauty or the beast that you see in yourself or mirrored back to you by your loved ones, this is all in the name of deep healing. We are here to truly see ourselves so that we can move past our own blockages to experiencing this reality and connecting wholly with those that we choose. We each perceive ourselves and the world around us in our own way based on so many factors that to attempt to isolate the active constituents would only lessen our ability to understand the whole. This moon is an opportunity to feel into the parts that are ready to shift and allow them to break free, to flow down-river and eventually meet the sea. It’s not easy. Very very vulnerable work we are doing here, but I feel that there are forces supporting us in it… not just right now, but always. It’s about trust.

Oh, and check out this music video: Growing Up by Moon Hooch. It illustrates some of the key energies of this moon better than I can describe them with words.
