Today the Moon in Leo opposes the Sun and Mercury in Aquarius while all of the above are (T) squared by a recently direct Uranus in Taurus. All of these planets are in the bounds of Saturn and Mars, which can be a bit on the rough side… but let’s talk about the Uranus situation. When we have a full moon, we know the energies will feel very alive and potentially very tense, things will be shown in the light that have been building and we will reach a decisive point. Throw Uranus into the mix and we are talking about an unexpected revelation or perhaps a turning point that itself feels like a right angle. If you have a fixed sign (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius) Sun, Moon, or especially rising- you will be feeling this in your heart (ruled by Leo ❤️🔥). The addition of Mercury under the rays of the Sun (within 15 degrees of the Sun, all planets lose some power) and triangulated with the Moon and Uranus almost feels like there is an element to the revelations or right turns that involves subpar communication, information processing, or perhaps even exchanges of other kinds.
What I really want to talk about is the web that Venus (who entered Aries a few days ago) has woven for us back up and through Mars in Cancer to the Moon, who we are very much obliged to at this time. If you have a cardinal sign (Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn) Sun, Moon, or especially rising- this moon could easily be highlighting some very wet internal weather for you. Venus in Aries is in her detriment, meaning that the goddess of love, harmony, beauty, sensuality, etc does not have what normally makes her feel well equipped to bestow these things in the sign of the Ram (ruled by Mars who is her opposite). If you have Aries Sun, Moon, Venus, or rising, when Venus transits here every year and a half or so, you may be used to this transit feeling pretty darn good for you regardless of the oppositional energy inherent in the arrangement. If you were born with it, you’re probably used to it by now. I’m just saying, it’s gonna be a little different this time and here’s why: planets in Aries rely on its ruler, Mars, to determine how resourced they will be to deliver their usual blessings. Mars is still retrograde in Cancer, the sign of its fall (similar vibe to a planet in detriment)… which is ruled by the Moon. Rewind just a bit to the fact that Mars has been frustrated in the sign of Cancer (which feels like a. Not being able to act according to our own will and b. Being unable to avoid things disturbing our comfort and safety (especially if you are a Cancerian or Martian person)) for the most part since the beginning of September. So, Mars has been relying on the Moon this whole time and guess what. The Moon changes signs every two days. The Moon aspects other transiting planets AND our natal planets like it’s going out of style (FAST). Here’s where it gets really interesting: Venus (currently in its pre-shadow phase) is going to turn around on March 2 and go back through the first third of Aries, then the last 6 degrees of Pisces to where it was on January 28. We will be reviewing this last section of time where our hearts have been leading us to determine the most aligned path forward. This will require some adjustment, some acceptance, some letting go. There will be replays of certain love affairs and other matters of the heart. People (ahem) will be coming out of the woodwork… What I love about this knot of intense emotive energy is that once Venus turns herself back around to move direct on April 12, we only have a few days to go before Mars moves on from Cancer and back into Leo where it feels much more alive, much more passionate, much more playful, and much more joyful. So when Venus makes her way back into Aries, we get our beautiful, bold, no bullshit, heart on the sleeve, and no holding back experience that we Aries natives so fully crave and the rest of us need in order to shake the dust off our hearts. And then it’s only a hop, skip, and a jump to June 9 when Jupiter moves from its detriment in Gemini to its exaltation (this is a very welcome change of dignity) in Cancer. Whew 🥵
So, yes. This IS a very emotional time. This IS feeling like a rollercoaster that you can’t get off. It IS okay to be totally and 100% in your feels. You are not alone, you are not too much, you are not wrong for having big feelings. We are definitely all going through it, but my heartfelt hope for this illuminating point in our collective experience is this: those of you who are NOT feeling completely overwhelmed by your own emotions, please reach out and be an anchor for the people in your life that feel adrift in their own seas. We need each other. And I promise that the love and patience you give right now is already in the bank waiting for when you need an infusion. This is a hard time, my friends. A time that feels, for many of us, that it can only be endured. A time where questions are many and answers seem few as fuck. But you know what? I think the horrors would be less horrific if we were holding hands. You know where to find me if your hand or your heart is lonely. With a teary eye, I wish you a beautiful full moon and I hope that you are able to find both small and great joys in what it brings. I love you.
