Today the Moon in Leo opposes the Sun and Mercury in Aquarius while all of the above are (T) squared by a recently direct Uranus in Taurus. All of these planets are in the bounds of Saturn and Mars, which can be a bit on the rough side… but let’s talk about the Uranus situation.Continue reading “FULL MOON in LEO”

Venus in Scorpio: September 10-October 7
Venus and Mars are quite an unlikely pair, though they are essentially two sides of the same coin. While Venus brings together, Mars divides. The former takes pleasure in lush gardens, boudoirs, and amorous activities while the latter prefers bonfires, butcher shops, and all things related to war. When the goddess of love and desire enters the temple of Scorpio, the surroundings are not conducive to her usual Venusian activities. This means that those things Venus represents may be challenged during this time. However, this pairing of opposites can also allow for a deeper emotional exploration of those themes.
Mercury in Libra: August 30-November 5
ketplaces, gaming houses, and tabulations while the latter prefers lush gardens, boudoirs, and amorous activities. When the god of communication enters into the temple of Libra, we may find ourselves rationalizing that which ought to be sensual or, conversely, allowing our logic to become languid. On the other hand, Venus’ luxurious home is a perfect place to soothe and release some of Mercury’s nervous tension.
Mercury opposite Neptune (August 22-26)
is still traveling backward through Pisces) for a few days this week. An opposition is like two kids on a seesaw that try to both be off the ground at the same time, but inevitably if one is up, the other is down. With these two planets things can feel a bit frazzled, a bit murky, a bit all over the place.
Virgo Season
Virgo season = harvest. We are stocking the larders, fixing the barn, counting the cows, and all sorts of other farming analogies. It’s time to reap what we have sown. It’s time to prepare for the changing of the seasons. Alphabetize and color code your records, books, and recipe collections. Take apart anything mechanical that you can get your hands on, clean it, and then put it back together. Make lists…. Lots of lists. Make lists for your lists’ lists. Have good manners. Take your health seriously. Eat fruits and veggies. Floss your teeth. Edit, organize, and streamline everything. Don’t let your mind run away with you!
House Placements and Meanings
In my articles I discuss what the planets are doing in relation to the signs, or parts of the sky, they are moving through. This gives us an idea of what sorts of themes the collective will be experiencing, but if you know what your rising sign is, you can get a better idea of what areas of life will be affected for you personally. If I say that Uranus is in Taurus, that’s cool and all, but what does it mean for you? Once you have calculated your chart, you will know what house Taurus occupies and can then determine what significance that has.
Venus in Libra: August 16-September 10
Venus is about to move on from detail oriented and analytical Virgo to her masculine, airy temple. Here in Libra, the goddess of love, beauty, harmony, and sensuality has everything she needs to express herself as she sees fit…
Mars in Virgo: July 29 – September 15
The partnership of Mars and Mercury can be incendiary. The former takes pleasure in sporting competitions, battles, and being in charge while the latter enjoys strategy, logic, and has no allegiance. When the god of war and willpower enters the temple of Virgo, this part of the chart is provided with ample motivation… and in return, Martian activities are refined, directed, and subject to change.
Mercury in Leo: July 26 – August 11
The partnership of Mercury and the Sun can be a mixed bag. The former takes pleasure in games, playing both sides, and would be amused if no one won, while the latter prefers honorable challenges, focused efforts, and coming out on top. When the god of communication enters into the temple of Leo, things can get interesting. We may learn what a mischief-maker would do with a crown.
Leo Season
Leo season marks mid-summer in the northern hemisphere. Everything is poppin from zucchinis and tomatoes to booties. If you’ve got it (and you do), flaunt it. Leo is here to light up the world and build a legacy that will last until the end of time. Be your own honorable, noble, divine flame and light the way for those around you. Love yourself so deeply that it inspires love in all. Know your worth. Make art. Bask in the sun. Make your passions known. Tame your inner beast and wild your inner human. Be unabashedly you and don’t let anyone else’s opinion harsh your vibe.
