FULL MOON in LEO

Today the Moon in Leo opposes the Sun and Mercury in Aquarius while all of the above are (T) squared by a recently direct Uranus in Taurus. All of these planets are in the bounds of Saturn and Mars, which can be a bit on the rough side… but let’s talk about the Uranus situation.Continue reading “FULL MOON in LEO”

Sun in Leo Opposite Saturn Rx in Aquarius

As I write this (12:13 pm Pacific time on Saturday, August 13, 2022), the Sun in Leo is exactly opposite Saturn retrograde in Aquarius (and my natal Sun/Mercury) at 21 degrees. I want to talk about the cycle that these two planets share and how the hands of the celestial clock show what time ofContinue reading “Sun in Leo Opposite Saturn Rx in Aquarius”

Mars in Libra: September 14-October 30

Mars and Venus are quite an unlikely pair, though they are essentially two sides of the same coin. While Mars divides, Venus brings together. The former takes pleasure in bonfires, butcher shops, and all things related to war while the latter prefers lush gardens, boudoirs, and amorous activities. When the god of ambition and assertion enters the temple of Libra, the surroundings are not conducive to his usual Martian activities. This means that things Mars represents may be challenged during this time. However, Mars can inspire us to stand up for what is just while Libra provides a comfortable space to tend our battle wounds.

Mercury opposite Neptune (August 22-26)

is still traveling backward through Pisces) for a few days this week. An opposition is like two kids on a seesaw that try to both be off the ground at the same time, but inevitably if one is up, the other is down. With these two planets things can feel a bit frazzled, a bit murky, a bit all over the place.

Virgo Season

Virgo season = harvest. We are stocking the larders, fixing the barn, counting the cows, and all sorts of other farming analogies. It’s time to reap what we have sown. It’s time to prepare for the changing of the seasons. Alphabetize and color code your records, books, and recipe collections. Take apart anything mechanical that you can get your hands on, clean it, and then put it back together. Make lists…. Lots of lists. Make lists for your lists’ lists. Have good manners. Take your health seriously. Eat fruits and veggies. Floss your teeth. Edit, organize, and streamline everything. Don’t let your mind run away with you!

Aquarius Full Moon II

This full moon brings us to a new part of our journey. All of what we have learned so far– all of the mistakes, the madness, the heartache, the suffering, all of the people we’ve met, all of the people we’ve been, everything we’re proud of, and all of the things that we know we know nothing about– is moving through the prismatic lens of spirit and being focused so that we can see ourselves as whole beings.

Leo Season

Leo season marks mid-summer in the northern hemisphere. Everything is poppin from zucchinis and tomatoes to booties. If you’ve got it (and you do), flaunt it. Leo is here to light up the world and build a legacy that will last until the end of time. Be your own honorable, noble, divine flame and light the way for those around you. Love yourself so deeply that it inspires love in all. Know your worth. Make art. Bask in the sun. Make your passions known. Tame your inner beast and wild your inner human. Be unabashedly you and don’t let anyone else’s opinion harsh your vibe.

July 2021 Mid-Moon News Part I

This past month, Venus and Mars ran through the Pluto-Saturn-Uranus fun house back to back. It was like if they unmasked the monster at the end of Scooby Doo, but it was actually us all along. We would have gotten away with it, too, if it hadn’t been for our meddling higher selves, asking us to level up. Now that we’ve gotten the scary business of facing our resistance to truly valuing ourselves out of the way, we can regroup. The planets of love and war have been wrapt in a somewhat fiery, somewhat harmonious embrace for about a week now and will be for another. It seems that the depth gazing, earth shaking journey they’ve been on has inspired new strategies to getting what we want and keen evaluation of exactly what that is and why.

Venus+Mars Opposite Saturn

As more challenging energies of previous transits dissipate, we gain some space to enjoy a new sense of unity between our preferences/wishes and actions/will. There’s so much inspiration here to create something that comes straight from the heart. Mars and Venus want to fully enjoy the *passion*, *spirit*, and *sensuality* of conceiving a legacy fit for a monarch, which is precisely Leo’s goal. I see us coming through a period of testing, reflection, and redirection into a new groove. This is a process of creating new rules and guidelines for how we conduct ourselves and how we channel our desires not only for our own gratification, but for the well-being of all with whom we coexist.

Cancer Season

Cancer season begins on the Summer solstice and marks the point in time when wildflowers are blooming, bees are buzzing, and the sun is nice and toasty (in the northern hemisphere). This sign rules the kitchen, so get your cauldrons ready. Geek out on vintage attire and adornments. Explore deep cottagecore fantasies. Cook all the time. Take pleasure in caring for your tribe. Go through old photos. Be sentimental. Feel your feelings, but take no shit.
