Welcome to the 2022 Pisces Full Moon! May all the tears we cry wash away the pain of existence and bring us closer to the unspeakably beautiful mystery that is this material life. In the dance back and forth between the ethereal spark within us and that which lights the world without, may we find balance, poise, and the ability to walk such an edge with grace, to hold the tension of opposites. This is a time to allow, to be overcome by, to release into, and offer our suffering to something greater. If you know, you know.
As with all Full Moons, this cycle relates to many time frames. The most recent began two weeks ago at the Virgo New Moon, and before that, the Pisces New Moon six months ago. What seeds of reverence, dissolution, fantasy, and freedom were planted then? Do you see the fruit they bear? Is there some aspect of what was set in motion then that is now being shown in ways that were previously unavailable? What have you been carrying that is no longer needed? What are you ready to let go of? What is asking you to let go?
As of today there are six planets in the retrograde (apparently backward) part of their cycles. It’s retrograde season, y’all, so here’s my spiel: These periods can be frustrating and are definitely not packed full of unicorns and rainbows, but there will still be plenty of them to go along with the reversals of fate, road blocks, revisions, and what is in the past that are all most definitely on their way to find us. When a planet is retrograde it is swept from the path of its own will and desire onto the path that the Universe has created for the express purpose of making sure we are aligned… Because SOMETIMES what we think is best or what will fulfill us most actually isn’t and won’t. SOMETIMES the cards need to be shuffled before a winning hand can be dealt. So, just remember to breathe. Whatever bullshit befalls you, it may not make sense now, but it most likely will later.
At the same time as this Full Moon, Mercury in Libra stations (stands still from our perspective here on Earth) in preparation for its three week backward journey. It will be reviewing ground that it had covered since August 20. Within that time, it made a few contacts. One of the more notable transits was an opposition to Jupiter Rx in Aries last weekend. This retrograde cycle will call up whatever themes were present then not once, but two more times. The first of which will be next week, a reassessment. Then around October 12 Mercury will make its final pass and bring some sort of resolution to said situation. We’ll survive it. Promise.
My estimation of the overarching message here is this: Be diplomatic. We are working on communication– which will continue on until Mars leaves the Sign of Gemini in SEVEN MONTHS. This particular temporal space is about how justly we deal with the world around us by way of the words that come out of our mouths. This is a process of refinement. Many of us are here to learn by doing, by making mistakes, finding out what doesn’t work and then finding out what does work often by process of elimination and much experience. Whatever transgressions are made, this Moon helps us to forgive. Let your heart grieve the failures but also retain the space for successes yet to come. Pisces asks us to allow emotions to flow in and out.
If you can’t get to the ocean, then get thee to a bath. If you can’t get to a bath, then I hope your tears provide all the clarity and cleansing that your soul is in search of. I wish you salty-sweet release. My heart is with you, as I know that yours is with me.
