Cancer New Moon

The Sun and Moon are the quintessential celestial representatives of Yin and Yang. The OG. Essentially what all other astrological symbolism is based off of. On Friday, July 9 at 9:15pm eastern, they are getting together in the sign of Cancer, which is known as the gateway of life. There’s something very special about new moons that happen in the sign of the crab. Every Sun-Moon conjunction is a new beginning, but the one we get around this time of year is particularly procreative.

Venus+Mars Opposite Saturn

As more challenging energies of previous transits dissipate, we gain some space to enjoy a new sense of unity between our preferences/wishes and actions/will. There’s so much inspiration here to create something that comes straight from the heart. Mars and Venus want to fully enjoy the *passion*, *spirit*, and *sensuality* of conceiving a legacy fit for a monarch, which is precisely Leo’s goal. I see us coming through a period of testing, reflection, and redirection into a new groove. This is a process of creating new rules and guidelines for how we conduct ourselves and how we channel our desires not only for our own gratification, but for the well-being of all with whom we coexist.

Cancer Season

Cancer season begins on the Summer solstice and marks the point in time when wildflowers are blooming, bees are buzzing, and the sun is nice and toasty (in the northern hemisphere). This sign rules the kitchen, so get your cauldrons ready. Geek out on vintage attire and adornments. Explore deep cottagecore fantasies. Cook all the time. Take pleasure in caring for your tribe. Go through old photos. Be sentimental. Feel your feelings, but take no shit.

Capricorn Full Moon

We are looking at opportunities for emotional healing coming up from the depths, grieving the deaths of our past selves, applying a salve of tenderness and understanding to our traumas, and sewing up the tears in our hearts that have desperately needed mending. Yup. It’s all here for you. Please refrain from keeping your arms and legs inside the vehicle because you really need to feel this, but do fasten your seatbelts. We’re going in.

Mars in Cancer Opposite Pluto in Capricorn

Oppositions are not about inner turmoil like squares are. They tend to present themselves more in the form of outer catalyzing forces. With Capricorn and Cancer, this is about the balance between holding on to what we’ve created and our ability to conscientiously compartmentalize parts of our lives so that we can move forward.

Mercury Rx in Gemini

Over the next 24 days, we will be asked to endure the sometimes frustrating experience of watching what we thought we knew, had planned, wanted to do, etc. be turned upside down and inside out. The days and weeks following will be a time of understanding, acceptance, and integration of the course corrections we have received.

Total Lunar Eclipse in Sagittarius

The energy of this eclipse is thick enough to spread on toast. You can smell it hot and wet as Jupiter is… like a jungle. Every speck of space ripe, wild, and dripping. It feels at once still and completely variable, as though back-floating in an endless vat of cream of starry night soup.

Jupiter in Pisces (May 13-July 28)

With how open a space Pisces is, we need to be very mindful about how our thoughts imprint our realities. There is really amazing opportunity here for conscious creation, but there is equal opportunity for unconscious creation.
